One of the oft-perpetuated myths about Home Business marketing companies (by insiders and outsiders alike) is that it is only wise to join companies that are at least six years in business. Pre-launch phase is great but what if the companies are in for the quick money. Where does that leave you? You have probably seen pitches similar to the following:
'New San Diego MLM Ground Floor Opportunity - Join Today!'
Let's think about this logic for a moment; Does it mean that distributors who sign up in three months will a have a lower earning potential? Does it imply that the company won't be viable next year? Both of these may have some truth in them.
The failure rate for some direct marketing companies can be high. Keep in mind that some risky San Diego and nationwide health and wellness MLMs start with next to nothing in assets and must use the entrance fees from their first line of distributors to fund the company. If they don't generate enough first-line distributors, they fail before they even get going. And take your money with them.
How do I know?
I have been in two of them that failed. They were ill conceived and poorly planned.
Let me save you the trouble and make a recommendation to considering the following when choosing your company. When considering a home business consider the ownership of the company, the debt of that company, how money is to be made as a distributor, the product, the niche market, does it have a niche? is it in demand?
Review the leadership, the team and the support systems. Each of these categories have to be reviewed, omitting one or two is not recommended. When choosing your company consider this, some companies are only a sales organizations who don't even plan , prepare or make their products. This means they have no say or little say on the introduction of new products, preparation of those products and no long term commitment. They may pick up and run and may not be there for the distributors.
Let's look at Xocai. All of the Healthy Chocolate weight-loss chocolate distributors who joined the first year and worked steadily have built a profitable business. However, like other well-managed companies that deliver a revolutionary product at a reasonable price, Xocai has increased in value since it's inception over six years ago. Xocai's business plan is built on their category-creating product; antioxidant chocolate, not the ability to attract distributors. That is an important distinction in the Direct Marketing world. The owners / founders are invested in the success of the distributors, reformulating and testing their products to be sure high quality. Its VERY VERY rare anyone does not like the product. The company's leadership and systems have been redefined and improved.
The company systems make your business set up fast and easy. Heck, my system processes leads , orders and reminds me when to respond each day with a To Do list. Its like a business partner watching orders, and keeping me focused. I have a Xocai planner listing all the tasks and duties needed to move my business forward.
Lastly, all this support means I put my shoulders back and introduce people to our business. I spend my time and introductions and not on building websites etc. They are ready to go when I signed up. I was part time and now moved to full-time sharing Healthy Chocolate.
I simply share with others a piece of chocolate, I know I am helping them with their health and if they wish, starting a small , simple growing a business from home with VERY low overhead.
